The 2006 Indy 500 was arguably one of the best finishes in the history of Motorsports. In the final 3 laps, Marco Andretti, the rookie at the time, passed up Michael Andretti for the lead. He battled it out with Sam Hornish Jr. for the win. Sam had never finished an Indy 500. On the final straightaway, Sam passed Marco and won the Indy 500 by 0.0635 seconds, making it the second closest finish (the first being between Al Unser Jr. and Scott Goodyear by 0.043 sec.) in Indy 500 history. I am a fan of the IZOD Indycar Series.
